In honor of World Health Day on April 7, 2023, Harpic and News18 are organizing a momentous event under their ‘Cleanliness and Water Initiative,’ striving to transform India’s sanitation and hygiene landscape. As part of the World Health Organization’s ‘Health for All’ initiative, the campaign highlights the crucial role of hygiene and access to toilets in fostering a healthy society.

The ‘Cleanliness and Water Initiative’ champions the cause of universal sanitation, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their gender, ability, caste, or class, can access clean toilets. The event will be broadcast live on CNN News18 and feature Union Health Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, along with prominent personalities like Sania Mirza, Shilpa Shetty, and Kajal Aggarwal, emphasizing the importance of health and sanitation.

The campaign endeavors to heighten public awareness of clean and accessible toilets’ significance to public health, while inspiring communities to work together to create a healthier society for all. Since its inception in 2019, Network18 and Harpic’s campaign has successfully spotlighted vital water and sanitation issues, and it now concentrates on catalyzing a behavioral change across the country to secure clean and safe toilets for everyone.
