Empowering Hyderabad Joggers: Arrhythmia Awareness and AED Donation Drive by CSI Telangana and Vigocare

June 14th, 2023, witnessed an impactful event orchestrated by the Cardiology Society of India (CSI) and Vigocare in Kondapur, Hyderabad’s Botanical Garden. The initiative was aimed at spreading awareness about cardiac rhythm disorders and the life-saving role of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). Esteemed guest, Sri Arekapudi Gandhi Garu, MLA from Serilingampally, Hyderabad, accentuated the event’s importance, emphasizing the need for such public health initiatives.

The event began with Sri Arekapudi Gandhi Garu highlighting the importance of spreading awareness about cardiac health. Following the inauguration, Dr. Ramachandra, a highly esteemed Senior Consultant Cardiologist and President of CSI Telangana, took the stage, enlightening the audience about arrhythmias and their implications on public health. His speech emphasized the importance of early diagnosis, prompting the audience to take the matter of their cardiac health seriously.

The generous donation of four AEDs by CSI Telangana, a key highlight of the event, underscored the urgent need for such devices in public spaces.
