Mrs. Sugandha Jadhav, a 71-year-old patient, refused to let age or disease get the best of her when she was diagnosed with Type 2 respiratory failure, bronchial asthma, old TB, and severe aortic stenosis (AS) and left ventricular dysfunction (EF-15%). Despite the high risks, Mrs. Jadhav opted for open heart surgery, and with the help of Dr. Gulshan Rohra and the expert team of doctors at Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai Central, she received successful treatment.

Dr. Rohra said, “Mrs. Jadhav’s case was challenging due to her multiple risk factors, including age, weight, and chronic obstructive lung disease. We planned for two weeks before taking her for open heart surgery. Our team of doctors faced many challenges during the surgery, including replacing the diseased valve with a new one, but with meticulous planning and care, we successfully overcame these challenges.”

According to Mrs. Jadhav, “I am grateful to the team of doctors and staff at Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai Central, for their excellent care, concern, and love shown during my treatment. I have never felt alone, and their support helped me overcome my fears. Today, I am leading a healthy life with my children and am grateful for this second chance.”
