MediBuddy’s survey reveals that 77% India Inc employees feel Health & Wellness initiatives enhance productivity and retention
As per a recent Health & Wellness survey conducted by MediBuddy India’s largest digital healthcare platform, indicated that a healthy workplace contributed significantly to revenue growth. The survey involves a workforce of more than 150 corporate clientele across the IT/ITES, Banking, FMCG, Manufacturing, and allied sectors. The survey further revealed that Health & Wellness initiatives are directly linked to the overall productivity and retention in those companies.
77% of the respondents gave a resounding affirmation when asked if Health & Wellness initiatives can be linked to enhanced productivity. Majority of the respondents felt that companies that offered well-curated and defined health and wellness programmes, were more likely to succeed and produce the desired results. The survey further stated that 69% of the respondents felt that health & wellness benefits offered by companies were one of the key deciding factors in them joining those companies.
In today’s complex corporate environment scenario, employee health and wellbeing often takes a back seat which could result in dissatisfaction amongst employees and possibly a high attrition rate. The survey intended to understand the impact of health and wellness initiatives on the employees and if it does act as a stimulus to the overall revenue growth and employee retention in those companies.
The survey also indicated that 89% of respondents wanted direct assurance that the companies valued their well-being. Post-Covid, employers and employees are now increasingly focusing on health and wellness. Consequently, many organizations are enabling services that go beyond hospitalization benefits, including solutions like telemedicine annual health checks, and medicines. Some of the key services asked for by the employees were related to Pharmacy benefits, Doctor consultations, Preventive Health Checkups, etc.
Speaking about the same, Mr. Satish Kannan, Co-Founder & CEO, MediBuddy said, “There’s an old adage ‘Health is Wealth’. It holds even more prominence and value in today’s day and age.
